How did you do your research to try to identify a clinical trial for your daughter?

At the time, we looked at the registers and public databases that existed, such as clinicaltrials.gov. We also watched in Canada, Germany... But it was very complicated and tedious because we had to go to multiple sites that were often not in French. Especially since the content was not adapted to patients or to the relatives of non-expert patients.

Can you tell us how Klineo could have helped you?

We would have liked to have had access to a platform like Klineo for our daughter. As a priority, the aim is to find a trial closest to home while maintaining the link with your referring oncologist. But if we were really sure that the trial was promising, we could have even considered going abroad to participate in a trial.

You are now involved in patient associations, what role can these associations play in clinical trial research?

One of our daughters got involved in looking for clinical trials, finding out about associations etc... Especially via social networks. But even today, many relatives do not know the associations. And even if you have to find the right associations and be sure of their reliability, they can allow patients and caregivers to be accompanied and helped in this research.

What do you expect from Klineo?

May the platform be available soon for brain cancers! With an adapted patient interface and in particular well-explained medical terms. And of course the platform continues to be reliable as it is today.
